Worship: For Heaven’s Sake The story of God’s people refusing God as King and insisting on a king like all the other nations was read this morning and can be found in 1 Samuel 8. Pastor Flemons used the story to explain the reason church and state must remain separate to ensure religious liberty to worship according to the dictates of one’s conscience and the civil liberty to prosper as long as the rights of another citizen were not violated. America’s commitment to religious and civil liberties is why God blessed America.
Wellness: For Health’s Sake Dr. Flemons elaborated on the experience of guests at Times of Refreshing and explained in detail the need for internal cleansing and healing herbal teas and enemas. The juice feast is usually the juice of vegetables like kale, parsley, cucumber, celery, beets and carrots. The juice of Granny Smith apples, lemon or lime, and a small piece of ginger are also recommended for making the vegetable juice palatable. The ginger also helps with digestion. Juicing, rather than blending, is best when detoxifying the body, because it bombards the body with nutrition. Guests at Times of Refreshing feast on such high nutritional juices for ten days.
