Worship: The False Revival / Wellness: Overcoming Appetite

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  Bible doctrine has been corrupted to derail Christians from the great mission of Protestantism, which is peeling back and discarding the layers of tradition and revealing and obeying the pure Word of God. “The problem is,” Pastor Flemons said, “apostate Protestantism. It has stopped its mission.” Derailed Protestantism is apostate Protestantism. This has led to a false revival. (Read more below.)

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness and naturopathy, says that appetite is the greatest urge known to man and even trumps the urge for sex. It must be overcome. (Read more below.)

QT/QT  In response to the question about macular degeneration in yesterday’s broadcast, Pastor Flemons provided a list of supplements for the eye. (Read more below.)

For Heaven’s Sake…

Satan is behind this false revival, which is a movement of spiritual euphoria where there is a great feeling of exhilaration, even with miracles, without understanding or knowledge of Bible truths. This leads to the belief of being filled with the spirit.

One such result is the practice of speaking in tongues. Pastor Flemons presented the Apostle Paul’s discussion in the Bible about speaking in tongues or other languages. He explained in detail 2 Corinthians 14:1-15. The miracle of speaking in other tongues, languages previously unknown to the disciples, was God’s method of spreading the Gospel and is recorded in Acts 2:1-13. In verses 14 and 15, Peter explained that this was prophesied in Joel 2:28 and 29:

28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

The Bible also prophesies other miraculous acts, but which are calculated to deceive. This is found in Revelation 13:13, 14:

13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
We have been warned of such miracles, which are calculated to deceive. Our only safety is in Bible truth.
Paul warns us that the time will come when people would rather embrace the miraculous and euphoric, rather than the Word of God:
2 Timothy 4:2-5
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
“Be careful,” Pastor Flemons warns, “of the false revival.”
For Health’s Sake…
It is important to overcome appetite. Before Jesus began His public ministry, the first thing He did was to overcome appetite.
Matthew 4:2-4:
And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.
And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
“Fasting helps [overcome appetite],” says Pastor Flemons. (Read Matthew 17:21.)
Fasting brings us closer to God in order to hear His Word.
It makes us healthier, because we are avoiding harmful foods. We need to be healthy.
It gives us the victory in other areas of our lives. For instance, it increases courage and helps us physically, spiritually and mentally.
