Worship: The Great Awakening / Wellness: The Lady in WalMart

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake  The hour of God’s judgment has come, just as prophesied. God called out a group of multidenominational Christians to understand the time prophecy mentioned in yesterday’s broadcast and help prepare God’s people for judgment. (Read more below.)

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  “It takes a commitment to be healthy,” says Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness and naturopathy. An experience with a lady in WalMart prompted his remark. (Read more below.)

Words of Encouragement

John 15:7   If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

John 15:16  Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

For Heaven’s Sake…

Although elements of history have been lost, maybe purposefully, the time is referred to as the First Great Awakening, according to Wikipedia.

“The Great Awakening or First Great Awakening was an evangelical and revitalization movement that swept Protestant Europe and British America, especially in the American colonies, in the 1730s and 1740s, leaving a permanent impact on American Protestantism.”

Pastor Flemons says, “This was at the founding time of America. This was just the beginning. It (the Great Awakening) continued. A group of Protestant Americans got a hold of the Bible. They actually learned the prophetic timeline. These were Baptists, Methodists, Presbyterians, and others. There were no Seventh-day Adventists yet; but there were Seventh-day Baptists. This was a fulfillment of one of the Jewish feasts.” [Corrected]

The Jewish Feast of Trumpets, we believe, represented or pointed forward to this period of the Great Awakening. This was followed by the period called the Great Disappointment in 1844. The disappointment was similar to that time when the disciples were severely tried and nearly lost all hope after the crucifixion of Christ and before His Resurrection and Pentecost.

A huge number of this group turned back. They had believed that in 1844, Jesus would come to take His people to heaven. The remnant believers continued to study and realized that they had the timeline correct but had misinterpreted the meaning of the cleansing of the sanctuary. It did not point to the second coming of Christ in 1844. It pointed to the last ministry of Jesus in the sanctuary. Just as described in Leviticus 16, about Aaron, Israel’s high priest, our High Priest, Jesus, moved from the holy place into the most holy place of the heavenly sanctuary to begin the judgment of His people.

This judgment involves the reviewing of every name to determine those who would be permitted to return with Jesus to heaven when He comes for the righteous. This investigative judgment would continue until the time of His second coming. To highlight this time, God prepared three last warning messages. These three messages are referred to as the Three Angels’ Messages found in Revelation 14:6-12.

Revelation 14:6-12

And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

For Health’s Sake…

You would think that anyone suffering any one of what is listed below would be more than ready to make simple lifestyle changes for better health. But it simply is not true.

The lady in WalMart loudly complained of what amounts to these statements:

* Radiation burned me.

* Chemo poisoned me.

* They cut off the wrong leg.

* They gave me the wrong drug that almost killed me.

* BUT I DON’T WANT TO HEAR ANYTHING ABOUT LIFESTYLE. I HAVE TO ASK MY DOCTOR ABOUT THAT.

Although medical science had not done her the best, she wasn’t willing to do any better for herself. In effect, she was not willing to drink a bottle of water, says Pastor Flemons. “People, it takes a commitment to be healthy.”

The best thing you can do for those you love is to take care of yourself. Stay healthy, and life will be better for everyone.
