Words of Encouragement
Ecclesiastes 5:19 Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.
Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee; because he trusteth in thee.

For Heaven’s Sake…
The condition is that you be strong and very courageous. It’s not that you must gear up for a fight or a battle with others. It is with yourself. The fight is that good fight of faith. The battle is in being obedient, even when it looks strange or peculiar to the world, particularly those who mean so much to you.
Meditate on God’s word day and night, says Pastor Flemons. Let His word govern your thoughts, words and actions. And be strong and very courageous to stand for God, even if you have to stand alone. His promise is to be with you and never fail to give you good success.
Joshua 1:1-9
Now after the death of Moses the servant of the Lord it came to pass, that the Lord spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ minister, saying,
2 Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.
3 Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.
4 From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.
5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
6 Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.
7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest.
8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
For Health’s Sake…
He quoted Proverbs 17:22, which confirms that “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine.” The body produces a healing substance, called endorphins, when a person is happy. These endorphins are antiinflammatory in nature, which strengthens the immune system. “Endorphins have been the reason why some people no longer have cancer today,” says Pastor Flemons. Depression, on the other hand, exacerbates every known condition of mankind.
Whenever you feel tempted to be down or depressed, be determined to be grateful for everything. Sing! Look around and begin thanking God for the myriad of things you may tend to take for granted every day. Be thankful, even, for the list of things you do not have at present. There very well may be a blessing in being without some things. You may not fully understand it today. But you will someday. Just trust God.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
