Words of Encouragement

Isaiah 28:5  In that day shall the LORD of hosts be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, unto the residue of his people.

Job 37:23  Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.

For Heaven’s Sake…

After forty years of journeying in the wilderness, the Reubenites, the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh had arrived at their Canaan. They finally possessed the land of their inheritance. But the remaining tribes of the Israelites had not received theirs.

Joshua, therefore, gave the Reubenites, the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh specific directions that they were not to rest until their brothers had reached their Canaan.

Joshua 1:13-15  Remember the word which Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, saying, The LORD your God hath given you rest, and hath given you this land. Your wives, your little ones, and your cattle, shall remain in the land which Moses gave you on this side Jordan; but ye shall pass before your brethren armed, all the mighty men of valour, and help them; Until the LORD have given your brethren rest, as he hath given you, and they also have possessed the land which the LORD your God giveth them: then ye shall return unto the land of your possession, and enjoy it, which Moses the LORD’s servant gave you on this side Jordan toward the sunrising.

In other words, We don’t win, until we all win.

May God grant you the wisdom to apply this principle in every other way: physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

For Health’s Sake…

The five organs of elimination are these: the colon, the liver, the kidneys, the lungs, and the skin. There are other avenues, but these are the five organs involved in eliminating toxins from the body. Each one functions at optimum levels when they are free of toxins.

“Disease,” Pastor Flemons reminded us, “is the body’s effort to get rid of toxins.” But if we really understood this, then we wouldn’t treat disease with more toxins, he says. Drugs add toxins, as do other typical “food” sources, like animal and dairy products.

The Colon processes foods and sorts elements into two groups: Good and Bad. It keeps and uses the good. It eliminates the bad through regular bowel movements. Elimination should occur as often as the number of meals consumed daily or at least once daily.

As long as this process works flawlessly, the body retains a healthy balance. What helps the colon to work well is drinking lots of water between meals at least one hour from mealtimes. Eating fibrous foods provide a sweeping service for the walls of the colon. Fibrous foods include fruits and vegetables. Exercise also helps the process of elimination, as it promotes peristalsis.

When the colon is not working properly, wastes are retained and are reabsorbed by the body. Waste can reverse back from the large intestines into the small intestines. Foul smelling flatulence is an indication that waste has putrified, rather than be eliminated. Disease is the result.

The Liver has the major responsibility of detoxifying the blood by disarming toxins. Unlike the other organs, it does not have an orifice that eliminates toxins outside of the body. It’s work is entirely internal to maintain healthy blood. Every 5 minutes all of the body’s blood flows through the liver.

The liver can become burdened and overwhelmed, however, and the process of blood detoxification becomes insufficient. This typically happens when prescription drugs, over-the-counter drugs, social drugs (including alcohol and tobacco), animal fat, animal protein, processed (chemical-laden) food products, and refined foods and sugars are consumed. The blood remains toxic and adversely affects every other part of the body. Disease is the result.

The Kidneys also help keep the blood clean, and they balance the pH factor of the blood, keeping it alkaline. They eliminate toxins through urine. They work best when lots of water and herb teas are consumed. But carbonated beverages hinder the proper function of the kidneys. As a result, toxins are transferred from organ to organ. When they are overwhelmed, acidosis results and, eventually death.

The Lungs work best when fresh pure air is taken in by deep breaths. Tight-fitting clothing suppress the practice of deep breathing. Toxins are released by respiration.

The Skin eliminates toxins through the process of perspiration. The skin becomes clogged when skin products like make-up are used and through the practice of smoking cigarettes. When toxins are removed through a cleansing diet, the skin clears. The skin works best when it is kept clean by daily baths. Like all other organs, it works works on a diet of fruits, vegetables, nuts and grains and pure water and herb teas.
