Worship: Self-Supporting, 11th-Hour Workers / Wellness: Stop Smoking Naturally

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake   Self-supporting workers aren’t paid by any organization to do the work of God. Eleventh-hour workers arrive on the scene at harvest time. Having not had the benefit of time, they study hard and work hard, learn very quickly, and do a great work for God at the very end. These workers comprised the group that let the world know about Jesus. (Read more below.)

Wellness: For Health’s Sake   Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, provided a simple natural remedy to stop smoking and added some suggestions. Habits that trigger cravings were also pointed out by a FB viewer.(Read more below.)

(NOTE: Before following any advice given here, please read our disclaimer on this page.)

QTQT  An engaging conversation ensued relative to tithing and holding office in the church, as well as ways of handling it in cash with no available envelope.

Special Prayer for call-in listener 1670 (Pray for spiritual healing for her family: that her family dwells and works together in harmony and unity for the upbuilding of God’s kingdom.) Also pray for pastors, especially those who are discouraging and pressuring members and attendees, regarding tithing and other issues, beyond the scope of their roles and in unChristlike attitudes and methods.

Remember to continue praying for the entire TOR broadcast family, that GOD will be free to bless us in the way that HE really wants to in 2018. Thank you.

Words of Encouragement

Ecclesiastes 11:1, 2  Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days. Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth.

Ecclesiastes 11:6  In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.

For Heaven’s Sake…

“Although Jesus received no welcome from those whom He had come to save, all Heaven was alert and eager to do Him honor. It was the heavenly privilege of God’s leaders on earth to share with the angels the joy and honor of announcing the Saviour’s arrival. But when the angels saw that the priests and rulers in Jerusalem had made no preparation to receive their Commander, they, amazed at their indifference, passed by these haughty leaders and appeared to the humble yet devoted shepherds.” PTG 37  (PTG 29)

The shepherds were the self-supporting workers of Luke 2. Denominational workers were the Levites, so they could not have been shepherds. The wise men of the East were the eleventh-hour workers mentioned in Matthew 2. The leadership, historically, has never done the great work of God, says Pastor Flemons. It has generally been the common people with humble hearts that God uses. This teaches us all to not wait on leaders, but be willing to be used to finish the work of God so that we can all be taken to heaven.

For Health’s Sake…

The simple remedy is to take 1 teaspoon of the stop smoking blend whenever there is a craving.

Stop Smoking Solution

Mix together the following:

  • 3/4 cup, honey
  • 1/4 cup, fresh lemon juice
  • 1/3 teaspoon, pure peppermint oil
  • “just a pinch,” cayenne pepper
  • 1 oz bottle, lobelia extract

Stir and store in an airtight jar. This makes about 1 cup of the solution. It needs no refrigeration. Make the solution as often as needed.

When you get a craving, that indicates that the blood sugar is low. The honey will raise the blood sugar. Lemon juice cleanses out the nicotine toxins that trigger physical cravings. It also is a tonic for the body. Peppermint oil calms the nerves. The cayenne makes everything work more efficiently. Lobelia is close to the tobacco in its properties, so that it provides a calming effect. Pastor Flemons suggests you simply take the teaspoon of the solution when you get the craving and keep moving through your day.

He strongly suggests, however, that you drink plenty of water. At the very least, drink half of your body weight in ounces. Divide your weight by 2 and convert the pounds to ounces. That is your body’s minimum daily water requirement. Also drink vegetable juices, and eat largely of sprouts. The more nutrition your body receives, the fewer cravings you will experience.

Contrast showers will help pull out toxins through the skin. Do 3 minutes of very hot water, immediately followed by 30 seconds of very cold water. Repeat this for at least three to seven rotations. When time is limited, do 1 minute hot, followed by 10 seconds of cold water. This also would be done for at least three rotations. Using a long-handle skin brush during the hot cycle will increase the benefit of the contrast shower treatment.

Then wrap the body in a cold, wet sheet. Lie down on a plastic-covered bed and sleep, covered with blankets the entire time. Repeat this daily or nightly until the dampened sheet shows no discoloration of caffeine stains.

Avoid foods that will increase the craving for tobacco or nicotine, such as refined or white sugar products; the flesh of animals; animal byproducts, like dairy and eggs; and products containing caffeine, like coffee, tea and chocolate. Also, be mindful of what you watch. Television programming that stimulates the brain’s urge to smoke and music that triggers cravings should also be avoided.  Instead, “feed the brain and body those things that will bring health according to God… spiritually and physically…. God will bless and give victory over all that is sin,” says Sis. Annette, a faithful supporter who offered the information about visual and food triggers via FaceBook.
