Worship: For Heaven’s Sake God loves Pharisees. He wants them all saved. And He has a soul-winning plan for a Pharisee, who is willing to forsake Pharisaism, which drives people out of the church. Confessing to having been a Pharisee himself, Pastor Flemons says that he wants to help save other Pharisees, probably especially those in Present Truth. He realizes that his goal is extremely difficult with extremely little hope for great success. Still, in light of the Apostle Paul’s conversion and singular contribution to the church, it is well worth the effort.
Basing his talk on Matthew 23:29-39, Pastor Flemons discussed the self-deception of Pharisees. They believe that had they lived in an earlier period, they would not have made the same mistakes that earlier so-called godly people did in killing God’s prophets. Yet in effect, they do the very same things. When they gossip and spread lies, they kill the character of God’s people in an effort to cause their failure. Pharisees must stop picking and choosing from the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy, while ignoring the principles of treating people.
Sadly, Pharisees are self-deceived, self-righteous, self-proclaimed Christians that push doctrine to the extent of capital punishment for the erring (thinking they are doing God a favor). Yet they fail to realize when they themselves are in error. A Pharisee is sad, you see.
“If you see major problems in your home,” says Pastor Flemons, “check yourself as a parent. You may be a Pharisee. Your children’s behavior toward you are a barometer of your own Christianity.”
[For further details, please read Matthew 23:29-39; and listen to the recording to hear the commentary of Pastor Flemons, who sang Hymn 463, “Blessed Assurance.”]
Wellness: For Health’s Sake Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, shared a health.news article that reveals how cold and flu medicines can cause heart problems. Research has shown, according to the article, “that cold and flu products containing non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and decongestants can increase blood pressure levels while expanding the risk of other cardiovascular events.”
“Anything that constricts the blood vessels and raises blood pressure is never a good idea,” says Dr. Steven Nissen, a cardiologist at the Cleveland Clinic, according to the article. He is further quoted as having said that not taking any such drugs is “the best thing that you could do.”
Pastor Flemons highly recommends safe alternatives like Rocket Fuel. Rocket fuel contains lots of garlic, the powerfully effective antibiotic, as well as lemon, agave or honey, ginger, cayenne powder, and water. They are simply blended together and consumed throughout the day. It naturally boosts the immune system, as do the other wonderful natural alternatives: oil of oregano, elderberry syrup, and echinacea. These have all been discussed during previous recordings.

Sharing and Caring Time Sis. Maria shared passages from “When Much Prayer Is Needed,” Chapter 8, in the book Power of Prayer, by Ellen G. White, p. 25, 26. The reading of four quotations reveals that Satan’s angels are wise to do evil; that if we are to be victorious over them, we are to sink self; that we are to be morally courageous; that our will must be voluntarily submitted; and that we must be particularly prepared in the last great conflict to guard against Satanic agencies in human form. Sis. David shared a testimony about her birthday celebration. And Sis. Rudder asked a question about Essiac tea combined with Kadem grape juice.
