Worship: For Heaven’s Sake The passport into the Holy Place is justification, obtained in the court, where we were cleansed of all our past sins. Inside the Holy Place is pure gold with a vail at the far end, beyond which is the Most Holy Place. Like the door and the gate, the vail is blue, purple and scarlet. “In it, figures of cherubim are richly embroidered in gold. The ceiling above is of the same, with cherubim inwrought with threads of pure gold. All along both sides are boards covered with glittering gold, and having angel figures engraved, or reflected, in their shining surfaces. We are literally encompassed with angel figures, even as Christ was surrounded with real angels when He entered the holy place of the heavenly sanctuary.” Nearest the vail at the far end is the altar of incense. On the right is the golden table, with its twelve loaves of life-giving bread, its flagon and other dishes of gold. On the left is the golden candlestick, which casts its light throughout, giving the effect of a rainbow, “similar to the rainbow around God’s throne. Such is the gorgeous place in which we are to develop true Christian character.”

Wellness: For Health’s Sake If you want to avoid indigestion, gastritis, ulcers, GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease), or other digestive condition like IBD (irritable bowel disease), give your stomach a rest. Allow five hours between meals, during which you should only ingest liquids, preferably water. Allow an hour between meals and consuming liquids. Drinking with meals causes more work on the stomach says Pastor Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness. So do eating late evening meals, which overwork the digestive system when the body is trying to rest. That accounts for the next morning’s lethargy. Chewing gum or eating candy between meals causes the stomach to work in preparation to receive food that never really arrives. That leaves acid in the stomach that can eventually cause ulcers. (For further details, please listen to the recording.)

Words of Encouragement
John 10:14, 15 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. As the Father knowers me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. (Also read DA 479.)
John 10:17, 18 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father. (Also read HLv 326.2 -.5.)
