Wellness: For Health’s Sake Evening broadcasts feature the health segment first and end with a worship thought. Tonight, Pastor Flemons continued with depression, stating that eating healthy is key to overcoming depression. Although the main cause of depression is low seratonin, there may be other contributing factors, like hereditary tendencies. Essential foods to combat depression include spirulina, spinach, turnips, and soybeans. Avoid high acid foods, like meat.
Worship: For Heaven’s Sake Pastor Flemons focused his talk on stony ground hearers, who receive the word joyfully, but the seed never catches root for the stones that are buried beneath the surface. It is what you do in the closet, when no one is watching, that prevents thorough heart work. Storms come in the form of tribulation from the world and persecution from within the church, and the stony ground hearer is offended and endures only for awhile. Verses to ponder are these: Judges 10:14; John 16:33; Deut 4:27-29; Matt 5:12; and 23:37.
