Worship: Relating to Leaders in the Sanctuary / Wellness: Why Healthcare Is So Expensive

Worship: For Heaven’s Sake   Religious leaders are flawed and are not to be depended on for our spiritual food. Pastor Flemons explained. (Read more below.)

Wellness: For Health’s Sake  Pastor Shelem Flemons, a doctor of biblical wellness, read an article that says the reason healthcare is so expensive is because of the innovations. The innovations add cost, but do not improve health. Pastor Flemons says the real reason for increased healthcare expense is the love of money and hearts that are fully set on selfish gratification, rather than on improving health. He quoted 1 Timothy 6:10 and Ecclesiastes 8:12, and said that if people would follow biblical wellness principles, there would be far less chronic illness. Because people prefer to pop pills for healing, rather than improve their diet and lifestyle, the system will continue to increase healthcare expense and people will continue to be sick.

Words of Encouragement

Hebrews 10:22-23  Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering: (for he is faithful that promised.)

Psalm 51:12-13  Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; And uphold me with thy free spirit. Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.

For Heaven’s Sake…

Pastor Flemons says that the minister can help confirm what you have gotten directly from the word of God on your own. Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. (Read Philippians 2:12.) But never place your salvation in the hands of man. It is the work of the Holy Spirit to teach truth.

As you are strengthened by the word of God, you are then able to encourage the religious leader. Moses was used by God to lead the children of Israel; but he needed help. During a major battle, his hands needed support to be held up. For as long as his hands were lifted up, the people succeeded in battle. If the pastor needs to be shown truth to his error, let the Lord lead, and point out his error. He will be blessed. For all true leaders of God know how to follow truth when faced with it.

When we are in a right relation with God, there would be fewer battles between flesh and blood, fewer complaints within the church, and more successful battles against the powers of wickedness in high places.

God uses leaders to lead and guide. But salvation is of the Lord. Study and pray for yourself.
